Our World Tuesday: Sunday morning walk

I haven't been walking much this summer even though it hasn't been as hot as most summers are in NC where I live.

Sunday morning I walked around Shelley Lake and it was pleasant although humid.

All the rain we've had is keeping everything green.

The lake almost looks like glass to me in the shot below.

I like the way water looks so different on different sides of the lake or when I face a different area.

It was overcast for most of the walk so I didn't get any blue reflections except for the touch of blue in the first shot.

I missed out on the baby ducks and geese by not walking much, earlier in the summer.

I'm guessing the logs were cut up after some of our storms knocked down trees.

There weren't too many people walking but I did see a few.

I don't mind encountering a few people but it's nice walking when it's not too crowded.

  1. I feel the same about walk-paths..not that I'm anti-social, but it is really nice to be able to walk where it's not crowded...so much more relaxing. The water pictures are so nice with the different shades and reflections.!

  4. I see patterns everywhere in these lovely photos. The deep tones in the water ripples and the tree shadows along the park path have made me a little nostalgic for autumn.

  11. Looks like a lovely walk. I especially like the ducks on the lake, sailing away and leaving their wake trail behind.
