I took this shot in my garden in November of 2001. Very unusual for us to have snow that early so I snapped a bunch of shots. Monochrome Monday is hosted by Aileni at Loose Ends.

Quite an image with such a full bloom crusted like that.
Thanks for joining in - I thinke we can have funwith this.
this is beautiful..
Snow on roses ... I think I have seen it all now. The B&W seems to have snap-frozen the fragility of the petala.
Very nice choice. The mono has frozen the image in time.
Ah yes... this is wonderful... very pretty!
This is beautiful! Very ambivalent with the full rose covered in snow. Great shot. I played too -
Odd shot and Monochrome are here
The photo is very beautiful and I am surprised to see Roses in bloom so late. That wouldn't happen at my location, tho we may have snow then. Thank you for your visit to mine.

So beautiful...
First time I've ever seen snow on roses. A perfect image frozen in time....
This is a good photo - usually the rose blossom has long gone by the time the snow arrives ..
Beautiful shot, Carver. Very well done.
Wonderful ...

Looks great in monochrome.
This is beautiful and sad. I love the feeling of it.
Gorgeous roses. Makes my teeth chatter!
Wow, I don't think I have ever seen snow on roses. This is a beautfiful photo and I love the black and white image.
Very emotive shot
Carver, this is absolutely beautiful! Poor roses, though. I hope they survived.
Thanks so much to everyone for visiting my first monochrome monday shot.
A real 'frozen moment'!
