That's My World: Herb Garden in the North Carolina Botanical Garden

The NC Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill, NC has an herb garden I enjoy visiting.

The cat above has been around the past three times I've visited the NC botanical garden and he tends to hang out in or near the herb garden.

The herb garden is divided into sections with all different types of herbs including medicinal and poisonous plants as well as culinary and industrial herbs. There is also a Child's Garden with activities for the young ones.

These photographs were taken last year during the growing season when everything was still green.

To visit other parts of the world, please go to the home of That's My World Tuesday.

The cat enjoys the aromas! I would bet there is catnip somewhere, no doubt.

Great shots, Carver! I, too, was chuckling at the cat and suspected he/she had caught a whiff of catnip! Thanks for sharing and have a great week!

I've been to botanical gardens during college and had always enjoyed the experience. Is this garden close to where you live?

Thank you so sharing the beautiful pictures. Have a great week!

Carver this is a beautiful herb garden. The cat is probably intrigued and loves all the scents especially catnip. The photos are excellent. I have a small herb garden and use many of my herbs every day. I love the history and mystic behind herbs (and I am not a mystic person!)

What a wonderful little sanctuary. I often think I should do this. Must be so rewarding and tasty.

Beautiful herb gardens. Maybe the cat belongs to the gardner. If there's catnip, I doubt he'd wander very far away.

A good place for educational tours for the young ones. Teaching them about herbs and planting them :)
