That's My World Tuesday: Loving leaf laden lanes

It rained pretty much all of last week but the sun came out Sunday morning which was a nice change. After all that rain, the trails I walk on are covered with leaves which I love.

Photobucket

I used to photograph the light at the end of the tunnel a lot but this shot I took Sunday was the first I've done of that subject this fall.

Photobucket

When we walked Sunday, we picked a path with high banks along the creek because I'm sure some of the lake trails are flooded.

Photobucket

I was entranced by this little tree someone had carved out into a fallen tree. I wonder if it was carved by fairies or elves.

Photobucket

Before long all the leaves will have fallen and then the trails will be completely new again. I surely do love the natural changes which each new season and year bring.

I'm voting for Wood Nymphs being the sculptors. What a clever idea!

What a beautiful place to walk. Love the reflections. As for the little tree - of course it was carved by fairies or elves. What other possible explanation could there be?!

How beautiful! What a lovely walk you had. And, what lovely photography skills you have gained with such wonderful practice opportunities as this! I am in awe of these photos! I'll go with "wood nymphs" too, I guess!

Such great wonderf and the little carved tree not the least among them. It is so titting all amongt the fallen leaves. I too love the carpets of leaves in the so aptly named season...fall.

that's a beautiful world out there. The tunnel and surrounding reminded me of a japanese cartoon.

Great series of photos! After all that rain, most of the trees in Hickory are going bald.

What a nice trail with the carpet of fall leaves. Maybe next time you're there the elf tree will be decorated for Christmas.
Excellent captures.

The difference is I am in a concrete jungle.
Lovely shots!

Wow, those golden leaves sure make for gorgeous photographs. Someone had a lot of time to make that little sculpture - how adorable.
