The Weekend in Black and White: Christ Episcopal Church courtyard

I don't think I've posted black and white shots of the Christ Episcopal Church courtyard in Raleigh, NC before. Although, I may have posted similar color shots.

There's something oddly soothing about black and white shots...I'm not sure what it is, but it's there all the same. Lovely

I expect I'm expected to find this a restful scene - but it seems a bit grim to me!

I love the glimpses we get in this picture - the lantern, the quiet courtyard and stained glass beyond.

I have heard much of this church so have enjoyed seeing this part of the courtyard. Love the stonework. Nice shot.

Old buildings lend themselves so well to B&W. A beautiful shot.

Thanks for your comment, I too was captivated by the leaves on the chair and stood by it for a while to drink in all the beauty.

Have a Blessed and Happy Easter!

Beautiful arches on a lovely building. I think it is better in B&W than it would be in color. Happy Easter. Mickie :)
