I have done many other posts about the NC Museum of Art but these are new shots I took on Saturday.
A friend was visiting me this weekend and we went to the museum, and of course I took a few snaps, since I have this nervous habit called snapping pictures.
The first shot is of my friend looking at the Crossroads/Trickster when we were wandering around the Art Park.
The second shot was of a scene that pulled at my heartstrings. There was something about those two little girls sitting in front of that painting for the longest time that I found quite moving.

I wish my son still lived down there, I would love to go to that museum.
You are so lucky to have this wonderful museum near by, Carver. There seems to be such a diversity of work there. The first photo makes a wonderful shadow and the second tells an intriguing story not only of the painting but also of the children who are so absorbed by it. :)
What an incredible museum, Carver! Your captures are terrific and definitely the next best thing to being there!! Hope you have a great week and a very Merry Holiday Season!

I love the photo of the children, and I think I can see why they are fascinated by it.
I was so fascinated by the Crossroads/Trickster I had to look it up on Google.
If I don't get another chance this week, Carver, I'd like to wish you and yours all the best of the holiday season and for the coming year.

Looks like a very interesting museum with such a variety of art works.
A well done sequence!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Thanks for taking us along, Carver. It's wonderful that the museum allows you to take photos!
Great pictures of different kind of arts Carver! I enjoyed it very much :)
Have a great week!
I love this museum -- and you are right ..that one picture of the little girls is just wonderful ... in so many ways! (Actually it looks like something the Museum would like for a publicity shot!)
(Funny, I have the same nervous habit that you do! But you probably already knew that.)
Carver, looks like a lovely visit to the museum. I also like the photo of the girls sitting on the floor. Great capture. Happy Holidays!
Good displays and you got great captures.
Wow, i most certainly love that first one, it is awesome. I wonder how it defies gravity! There could be a big iron bar inside of course, but it looks negligible at this angle.
Wonderful shots of artifacts at the museum.
What a fabulous museum! I love that shot of the two girls in front of the huge painting. I wonder what they were thinking?
Looks like an amazing place for artwork and scenery going by the last lovely view! Beautiful, interesting photos!
Beautiful photos and things there!
That first thingy is odd, but beautiful in it's own way :)
I really like that standing spindle, definitely an evocative piece of art.
It is nice to have a reason to go to a museum.
