SkyWatch Friday: Looking back to December of 2010

This Christmas our forecast is for rain so I thought I'd post some shots from last year at Christmastime.

It started snowing at night on Christmas day last year and the all white sky are from December 26, 2010.

Then December 27 the sky was a brilliant blue.

so special to have a white christmas. i hope the rain isn't too bad for this christmas. it was raining christmas last year here. no rain this time. although we kinda pray for some because it appears we're going to have a dry winter, which isn't good for our water supply in the summertime.

have a wonderful celebration.

I love that second shot, with the snow on the branches, and the whole landscape so washed out!!

It is really rainy, cold, and miserable so am thrilled you chose to share last years’ shots with us tonight. These are gorgeous. The snow on the tree against the blue sky is awesome. A lovely series. genie

That's a beautiful white Christmas from last year! Rain is awesome as I'll be driving your way in it. Rain good, snow bad!

Your images made my Christmas Eve.

Feels strange not to have a white Christmas this year, doesn't it?
Wishing you all the best for 2012!

Where I live I don't think there's ever been a white Christmas! Happy Holidays, white or not!

Wonderful photos! Your snow at the 'right' time of year makes me so nostalgic for the northern hemisphere. Christmas in 100F temps. just does not seem right somehow, neither does bottling fruit and making jam in this heat.
Thank you for cooling me down a little with those stunning snow shots.

Thank you for helping me through the year just passed and for being my friend.

Wishing you a wonder filled New Year, continuing health and much happiness . . . Arija
