Ample rainfall continues which is in large part the reason my world is so green.
Until I zoomed in, I thought I spotted an animal in the creek but it turned out to be a rock.
I like the way the light through the trees was dancing.
I couldn't have asked for a better morning to be out and about.
I like walking along the creeks on pretty weekend days because the lake they feed into tends to be crowded but we didn't encounter anyone on the creek pathways.
Even the water was green thanks to reflections.
At the end of the wooded walk I was amazed to see how far along this suburban vegetable garden was.
Thanks to a mild spring and lots of rain even vegetables are a good month or more ahead of normal schedules. Since the past few nights have been in the 50s F (10s C), I wonder if that will affect tomatoes that flower too soon as they prefer warmer nights. I'm guessing though that our blessedly cool evenings of late are about to end. There has been a 20 degree difference between night and day temperatures lately.
Lots of juvenile American Robins have been coming to my deck.
The next shot isn't that good but I spotted the robin on the roof when I was still in bed. My camera happened to be on my bedside table so I was able to photograph it through the door windows without even getting out of bed.
The juvenile robins look like they have longer legs than the adults.
I think they are very cute at this stage with their spotted chests.
The juvenile cardinal was pretty cute too.

Beautiful,absolutely beautiful !
We are many miles apart but it is the rain that keeps my part of the world so green, too. I enjoyed the forest walk and can imagine how refreshed it must all feel after a rainfall. Also, it looks like you have some dedicated gardeners in your neck of the woods as that is a very tidy looking community garden. The adorable juvenile cardinal in the last photo was a bit of a shock! There is very little body under all those feathers. :)
these pics are great. i especially liked the ones of the robins. they're adorable. i don't believe your walks could be any more beautiful. i so enjoy looking at the pics from your walks. thanks for sharing.
What rain will do, we could use more rain and it keeps raining around us and not getting us.
Looks so fresh and pristine - Like it rained recently.
What a series of lovely images ! Lush greenery and great calm and serenity. Loved the pics of the juvenile robins. Have a great week.
What a lovely place to walk! And such cute birds in the bird bath.
What a beautiful nature! Your photos are always so beautiful!
I wish you a great week.
Beautiful shots of nature and birds.
The young birds are very pretty. I get a real sense of the coolness provided by the shade of the trees on your waterside walk.
Such a beautiful place to walk! I love the sunlight filtering through the trees, the reflections on the water and the delightful birds!! Thanks for sharing the beauty, Carver!! Have a wonderful week!

Do you know how many times I've photographed a rock or a branch!! Fun post. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Those rock and stump critters fool me a lot.
Carver, I love the shots of the creek and trees. It is wonderful to have so much green around. Cute shots of your birds, the cardinal looks a little sad though. Thanks for sharing, have a great day!
Now that's the way to make pictures... least it would be my favorite way... while still in bed. Great pictures.
The dappled effect of the light through the trees onto the water is just beautiful.
So pretty and green in your world! I remember cool -- But it's been a while. We're in Mesa Verde National Park now -- hot and DRY!!! No spring flowers at our Colorado kids -- last year at this time there were, but it is so dry, there aren't any this year. I love your baby birds -- have never seen a juvy cardinal.
I love the variety you always present. Beautiful world!
That's a really nice walk around...Thanks for taking us along and lucky you just lying in bed and still being able to capture the robin...Have agreat day!

So lush there - I wish we had some of your rain here in CO! Love that baby Cardinal pic!
I love the dancing light and vibrant greens, and enjoyed the image of you reaching for your camera and catching those robins from your bed. How wonderful! Then, the young cardinal to top off a beautiful post. Thank you!
