I prefer that the kitties hang out with inanimate birds like the hummer above.
I don't like the kitties to annoy the birds in the nesting box, under my roof eaves, by watching them from my back stoop like the kitty above is doing. His reaction to my attitude is demonstrated in the next shot.
Our city has an ordinance that kitties are supposed to stay in their own houses and yards but the kitties are so comfortable in my yard they climb on my car.
When I used to have two dogs at my house the kitties weren't as comfortable straying into my yard.
Since I no longer have any dogs at my house, all the neighborhood kitties wander around my yard as if its their own.

The orange one looks like an Alpha cat -- looks like he's saying 'you don't want to mess with me.' I have very mixed feelings about cats -- we always used to have them (before we traveled) but I hate what they do to the birds. And seems like nothing can keep them at home.
I guess the kitties in your neighborhood know a good thing when they see it.
That orange tabby is really a chunk.
how chunky is that orange kittie, looks well fed.
i have regular visitors in my backyard too. thanks for sharing your kitty pics carver. i always enjoy them when they appear here.
Are they all yours? I like their facial expressions.

Thanks to everyone for visiting. To answer the question, none of the cats are mine. I provide birds with a habitat garden and nesting boxes and they in turn lure the cats to my yard but fortunately, I don't think the cats manage to catch the birds. They just annoy them. I used to tell the cats to go home because I don't want them harassing the birds but I've given up and have grown fond of some of the cats.
You have quite a cat following at your place. A rather cute lot though I hope they don't bother the birds too much.
Pretty kitties
Animal activists would love you. I love the final shot. You captured the air of aristocracy around felines well.
Callie, our calico, perches on the back of the sofa and watches out the window for the neighbour's cats, - there is a great flurry of excitement when one appears. She is only allowed in the fenced in back garden, not been very street wise, so she can only switch her enormously agitated tail at them.
dear Carver, thanks for so wonderful set of beautiful pictures! The cat friends are adorable!
purrs from little LUNA and hugs from Léia
Wonderful photographs, fantastic collection of kittens. I am greeting
Wow, you have a lot of cats paying your yard visits!
Kitties do not care a fig about city ordinances.
Cats certainly have minds of their own, they chase whatever they want. Glad you have grown to accept them in the yard.

Your kollection of Kitties is kwite impressive♫♪
Great shots...love this post. Cats have a wonderful tendency to look grand, even when they're chunky or chasing birds. You gotta love their sense of presence...:)
Cats are cute... kittens are kutter. :)
