I took the shot below on Monday morning when we had a blue sky for part of the day. The dogwood trees continue to be the main ones giving us some early fall color.
The shot below is one I took Wednesday morning showing the rain which is being dumped from the sky on a very regular basis. My pecan tree which takes up much of the shot is still mostly green with a couple of leaves starting to turn yellow.

Wow .. two wonderful shots, Carver ..
Can't believe all that rain, great shot!!
It was quite the deluge earlier this week, yeah? Even Tonka didn't want to go out in it. Nice shooting, rain's a tough subject to capture!
Oh, the rain shot is amazing!! enJOY your day!!
Lovely captures. The rain looks mesmerizing.
I love the rain image. I cannot get a good rainy day image, well it doesn't seem to rain in California :(
Happy weekend.
Great photos!! I love the bluest skies...the rain really did come done!!!
We're a little ahead of you here. My oak tree is shedding all over the ground and a couple of maples are reddish yellow.
I love the dogwood against that gorgeous blue sky!
Great job catching the raindrops.
Carletta’s Captures.
Both great shots!
Great photos. Love the color.
Wonderful shots! The rain is awesome -- in the photo, I'm not eager for the return of the rain, but then we rarely get the big downpours either.
Have a great weekend, Carver!
Sylvia
Very nice and good shots,Carver!Have a great weekend!
Two great photos, Carver....the first shot is stunning....and I love the rain image, great capture...
Oh, love these shots...esp the one of the rain.
Thanks for your comment and greeting for my daughter.
These were two very different and beautiful pictures.Very good captured. Nature is full of contrasts!
Great shots!
Pretty autumn dogwood against the very blue sky. Big contrast with the downpour! Both are great shots.
Oh my goodness! That shot of the rain speaks loud and clear! You certainly lived through a downpour.
Love the colors of fall! I've usually lived in places where the seasons are hot and hotter so I miss out on the fall foliage... (sigh)
The shot of the rain pouring down from above is amazing, the speed and gush all rolled in :)
Thanks Carver for the linky help :)
nice clear blue sky but i love the rain shot better =)
pleasant evening to you carver!
Both are wonderful photographs! Amazing to see all that RAIN falling. We could sure use some of it here in Southern California right about now.
Hugs and blessings,
those 2 pictures were great.
Both are very nice. That rain would be welcome here.
Two lovely shots. i love the rain though the fall leaves against the blue sky is also post card perfect!
Happy skywatch!
Beautiful shots ! Fantastic..Unseen Rajasthan
The 'Rain Tree' is most interesting! I like your creative shot :)
Both are awesome!
Congratulations dear Carver, great artwork!
Léia :)
glorious shots
How fun, before and after. Do you harvest pecans from your tree? We're thinking of planting one.
The colours of autmun are truly amazing, wonderful captured!
There have been quite rainy here I live too :)
I love both shots, but I'rather be in your first picture than in the second one.
Enjoy your weekend, I hope you'll see some blue sky again.
Both very fine shots!
The image of the rain is so beautiful! :-)
awesome composition. i love the contrast of photo 1 and the coolness of photo 2. :)
