A good catch and good to look at.
Funny little turtle, ignoring its perfect reflection! A lovely shot Carver.
I remember that turtle!
Oh both a monochrome and a reflection too :-) like it a ot Carver, but you know, I just love the wather.
Happy weekend
Sometimes black and white tells it more simply and tells it best
Sandi
Nice reflections!
Have a nice week-end!
Yeahhhhh....
I see the turtle ....... LOL
Creatice photo :-)
love this!
i like this especially the symmetry the reflection gives the shot
Like a seamonster crawling to the surface. A lovely post with awesome reflections.
Such good contrasts!
Great monochrome but I like it because of the reflection. :)
Lovely - looks rather abstract.
Love your pretty mono reflections! I had wanted to tell you how lovely your header was anyway!!
Have a great weekend!
That's fabulous Carver! Love the contrast and the stillness of the reflection.
No turtles bathing here yet..That makes for a lovely black and white.. I have to take more time to try this....Michelle
It seems a bit inane simply to say 'interesting' - but it is. It draws one in, makes one peer and wonder.
Lucy
Actually, a sense of desolation overwhelms me when I look at this, as if the turtle was fortunate to have finally found a little respite from its struggles.
Hah! I nearly missed it! What a deliciously start image you have composed for us this week.
Looks like it's calling for help!
Great Mono post.
Kisses from Nydia.
Aw, that's cute - little turtle surveying the big world.
Another stunning reflection shot. The mono treatment adds drama to it!
beautiful.
Simple and beautiful in b/w!
Love the sparse beauty of this photo.
Zen and wonderful.
Thanks for stopping by. I do appreciate your comments. Yes, the light. It just occurred to me that I saw turtles sunning on logs in Emerald lake on my last visit. I didn't have a long lens (only my 85 mounted on my other camera loaded with color film) with me so I shot one with a wide angle and you can't even see the turtles. There were three in a row, Mama, Papa and the baby.
Makes you wish you had waders so you could get even closer but then you would destroy the scene. And we never want to do that. You got the turtle just right.
Beautiful reflections!
I enjoyed your flowers in the sky too. :-)
Love your header image.
Sweet catch!
That looks great in b&w!
Great contrast! Beautifully composed.
