Normally I try to choose one shot for Skywatch Friday. This week I'm making an exception for the feather boa let loose on the sky.
These shots were all taken during about fifteen minutes on March 5, walking around my neighborhood.
The sky was a vibrant blue and the feather boa fluttered and stretched and roamed the sky.
I don't know when I've seen anything quite like it. The more I walked and looked up the more it took on a life of its own.
I love this time of year when the sky is the bluest of blue and anything against it stands out so well.
Blue skies are still a treat because most weeks we are continuing with as many or more rainy days than sunny ones.
I think blue skies are enhanced when something like a feather boa is tossed across it.
I guess I'll end with a couple more shots although I'm still not sure if this post includes my favorites.
Kind of hard to choose photos when the sky puts on a never ending show. That's why I usually only post one for sky watch because each week I take so many sky shots.
For other skies across the world please visit the home of SkyWatch Friday.

Thank you and an interesting question about what music I'd choose. I think I'd probably go with part of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
I don't blame you for puttin gon the show. I don't think I could have picked a favorite from this lot either. Nicely done!
I love how it just floats along looking so at ease and lovely .. good eye to catch it, Carver!
Delightful. Feather boa is indeed a perfect caption/description for that. I love this post. Makes me smile.

What a magnificent capture! I have never seen such a big and beautiful feather boa before. Absolutely stunning!
Thank you, Carver for you comments and I learned a new word...*smile*
Beautiful shots. Very lovely and unique formations in the sky.
Wow, that was interesting. And very beautiful!
Spectacular! That is such a wierd cloud!
Brilliant title for the post. You need Dewdrop to tell you the science bit (I'd like to know!).
I'm with you on the struggling to limit the number of photos - every week I think just one - can never manage it though. xo
Great shots. Very beautiful cloud formations.
I love your sky's feather boa!! And that's the perfect description! I wouldn't have been able to choose just one of these shots! So glad you posted them all! So gorgeous! And, yes, it looks like spring with your rich blue skies! Have a wonderful weekend, Carver!
Sylvia
I cannot access your photos, I will come back tonight!
That was worth capturing many times, Carver. It really DOES look like a feather boa!
Carver: Really neat the way your sky worked with the contrail.
I SAW those here in Texas as Well!!! What makes them I wonder?!!
Great shots!
A feather boa loose in the sky which I haven't ever seen except thanks be to you. Excellent photo.

Great shots, love the texture and formations of those clouds...
My Entry Here
love them all! and I think it's like a treat whenever the sky and clouds behave this way
Beautiful clouds. I like those wispy clouds too.
Wow! A perfect description for your title post! I have never seen this kind of show.
This was so enjoyable--both your words and photos. Lovely skies. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic shots Carver!
Feather boa - a wonderful description!
So beautiful feathery cloud captured.
Great captures....I think my favorite photo is the one that looks like flowing angel Hair.
Very cool shots you're sharing with us on SWF this week. Will be wonderful if each day we're greeted with such sky :)
Have a good weekend Carver!
What in awesome serie of shots, Carver.
It's always great to see the wind play with this kind of featherlike clouds.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend!
It's spectacular! It looks like a white feather but it's clouds, nature has its own beauty and I see that every Friday ^_^
Sky Watch Friday
These are AMAZING clouds! I'm speechless. . .except to say that your did a great job!
I am so glad you did not limit it to just one shot. It would have been criminal to withhold all that beauty from the rest of us. That feather boa was certainly leading your on and understandably irresistible. How many did you take in all. My beat total for a single sunrise up to now has been 144.
it looks like a cloudy backbone in the sky!
nice shot :)
What a unique cloud series against the clear blue skies ... captured and shared in so many ways. Just lovely!
Hugs and blessings,
Your pictures are so good, I felt like they were right there to touch.
