That's My World Tuesday: My world has turned green

I went on a walk this Sunday on the trails near and around Shelley Lake.
Photobucket
The triangle area of North Carolina where I live has gone from mostly brown with a few flowers to lush growth within the space of a few weeks.

Two weeks ago when I walked on this same trail there were very few trees that were leafing out and now they are all covered in leaves.

A field beside the lake is filled with buttercups. I can remember stringing buttercups together for long necklaces when I was a child.

The weather was perfect for walking on Sunday. It was chilly in the morning but the sun was shining and it grew warmer without getting hot.

On a gorgeous day like that, no contest, one has to go out and enjoy the day with nature. If I had access to my images, you would see they would be similar to these images as I too took a walk under the sun.

Beautiful, green, and very springlike.

I, too, remember tying buttercups together in chains.

I had always seen these beautiful yellow flowers on a green green field in movies but had not encountered it here. Had no idea it was called buttercup. What a nice name.

Great capture of nature you have there. Simply gorgeous.

Hope you have a nice day.

Isn't it wonderful to see the world turning green again. I see the changes everyday when driving to work. You are a bit more ahead than here in this part of the UK.
