I went on a walk this Sunday on the trails near and around Shelley Lake.
The triangle area of North Carolina where I live has gone from mostly brown with a few flowers to lush growth within the space of a few weeks.
Two weeks ago when I walked on this same trail there were very few trees that were leafing out and now they are all covered in leaves.
A field beside the lake is filled with buttercups. I can remember stringing buttercups together for long necklaces when I was a child.
The weather was perfect for walking on Sunday. It was chilly in the morning but the sun was shining and it grew warmer without getting hot.
To visit other parts of the world, you can go to That's My World Tuesday.

post and shots
we are also going for green :)))))
Carver: Your area has turned a lush green.
On a gorgeous day like that, no contest, one has to go out and enjoy the day with nature. If I had access to my images, you would see they would be similar to these images as I too took a walk under the sun.

Carver,
Your world sure is beautiful! And I love the enthusiasm I can hear in what you have written!
so green! Looks like a beautiful day and excellent spot for a walk (and for photos!)
i love places like this....nice place for a walk and just for relaxing....
You captured that very special Spring green so well.
Beautiful, green, and very springlike.
I, too, remember tying buttercups together in chains.
Those leaves look so fresh and clean. It's just how I would imagine North Carolina to be...green, green, green!
aloha carver,
thanks for showing us a little bit about your corner of the world today....everything looks so green and lush, walking around these lakes are always fun to do!
Gorgeous, thanks for taking us on that walk
Wow - such vivid greenery. So soothing and cheerful!
Gorgeous piece of nature in such lush green Springtime :D!
What a treat for the eyes. Simply superb. I could imagine how rejuvenating a walk through these terrain will be.
I had always seen these beautiful yellow flowers on a green green field in movies but had not encountered it here. Had no idea it was called buttercup. What a nice name.
Great capture of nature you have there. Simply gorgeous.
Hope you have a nice day.
Isn't it wonderful to see the world turning green again. I see the changes everyday when driving to work. You are a bit more ahead than here in this part of the UK.
