I was off last week and missed the letter O. I am catching up with a combined post for this week's P and last week's O. Below is one pigeon which covers two letters with one picture. I took that photograph several years ago at Atlantic Beach, NC.
The rest of the photographs were taken last week in the North Carolina mountains where I enjoyed the great outdoors. The pretty trees had lots of orange leaves.
One shot I took showed a somewhat palatial house. The Moses Cone Manor House may not be a palace but it's not an ordinary primitive mountain retreat either.
For the last photograph, I give you a panoramic view standing at the Manor House fence looking down on the pretty lake.
For other takes on the letter P, visit the home of ABC Wednesday.

Dear Carver,
You are also creative with your ABC posts, this one is fabulous, I specially love the first picture with the cute dove posing for your camera, a very special guest! :)
And with a lovely house for sure!
Precious post!
Hugs

Gorgeous panaramas and a funny pigeon
Wow! You sure made up for last week's post by incorporating it into this week's! Gorgeous photos and I'd love to peek inside that house! Have a great week. :D
Well done! Great way of incorporating two letters into one post. It looks like you had a lovely vacation.
What a terrific post for both days, Carver! Love the pigeon! And what a gorgeous house and a fantastic panorama shot! All of your photos are superb as always, can never really pick ONE favorite!! Have a terrific day!

What a great idea Carver - to combine two letters so cleverly! Though pigeons are not my favorite bird, yours is actually rather attractive as is that manor house.
One pigeon-now, that's a RARE sight! Usually it is a whole grove of them!
Indeed, what a palatial abode that is. I would hate to be the one to clean it.
Lovely images.
Hi Carver! Thank you for these beautiful photos and colourful autumn views.
Great OPPOrtunity for O and P, Carver. Love your photos.

The Pictures are lovely. From the Dove posing so sweetly, right to the end. I especially like the Fall picture of the many colored leaves on the trees. Beautiful.
Now, that is a house I wouldn't mind living in...
Really does convey not only the letter but the description of your blog.. a photographic journey each visit.
That house may NOT be a palace but it sure comes close! :)
Lovely house, - does it come equipped with staff, please?
glad you had to show that OPulant place. Wonderful autumnal colors.

both pretty and outstanding!
I like that you put your O & P together. Made a most interesting post.
Beautiful photography!
How beautiful it all is - a terrific place to vacation and pigeon watch!
Stunning photos it´s so creative.
The dove is so pretty and so are the other shots as well. You are a good blogger, you do your homework :)
P is for poncho
Lovely photos. Clever of you to combine letters when you happen to miss one. I'll have to try to remember that!
Love that pigeon. I am very much interested in birds, of all kinds. And I promise you, I don't eat them. It's my mother, Cajsa who usually catches baby birds in the spring. But I never do. Never.

Great combination, very creatively done, I enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed the pics.
I love the reds and oranges of autumn and what better place to enjoy them than a palace in the mountains?
So creative! Perfect P photos...
Thank you
Wonderful outdoors inspiration - loved the Manor House - yes, could well see myself there! lol!
