We've had a lot of gray skies so when Tuesday brought some blue, I had to shoot it.
I like the way winter trees look against the sky.

what a blue it was. a good way to start skywatching.
hope your 2011 is off to a great start.
I agree Carver, the contrasts are so beautiful! The sky is blue and perfect and I notice that the snow on the trees are gone now!
YAY for the blue!
Amazing captures.
wonderful texture!
A wonderful blue sky, and I love those trees against all that blue! Very nice!
Gorgeous blue skies and, yes, the contrasts with the clouds and the bare black trees silhouetted against them are like exclamation points celebrating the blue! I would be, I know!! Have a wonderful weekend, Carver!

Thank you! Better than this only if you would send some of this over here!
God bless you!

Happy SWF! =)
Beautiful captures. Love your sky photos.
The colors are so pretty.
Love the buttermilk sky.
Beautiful whether at your side and a lovely capture to match. Happy skywatch.
oh yes, just lovely, - marvelous contrasts and silhouettes.
Oh my goodness, Carver ~~ those exact clouds were in my back yard today. I took a picture to use in a week to come since I was using my Pastor's sky this time.
Even the trees look the same!!!
Blue skies are a treat, and the white clouds contrasting with the dark branches make an interesting design in the sky.
Looks like the snow has melted away, too.
Great scattered clouds shots.

Great to see some blue sky in your SWF post.
Overhere it's been grey all week ...
Now, everytime I see this photo of you, I will think of your trilogy series. I agree with you...the trees in winter against the skies are gorgeous and impossible not to stop and photograph. Beautiful capture. Genie
