This Sunday, Bill and I went on a walk around Shelley Lake in honor of a beautiful and warmer day.
I've missed walking at the lake. I was waiting for the path to get a chance to melt from our last bought with freezing rain and sleet.
I'm glad I did wait since there were still patches of ice on parts of the path along the creek.
I try to go on photowalks at the lake during each of the seasons because I love to note the differences.
It's like going on a totally different walk depending on the time of year.
I am definitely someone who likes changes in the natural world. I need four distinct seasons with the periodic unseasonal days. We can have big changes in temperature during a given week.

What a pretty lake and pictures, Carver. So nice you got out to enjoy a day of warmer weather in the winter. I, too, love the four seasons and all the changes … there is never a dull moment!
Your world is lovely even in winter. I'm fond of all four seasons too.
Your world is really very beautiful. It looks like spring...no snow...lucky you.
Beautiful place, very scenic.
Do love still water reflections on a cool Winter day. Lovely shade of of blue.
Oh, how beautiful, Carver! Love those gorgeous blue skies! Like you and the others, I do love having four seasons and the changes that come with them -- it's just that sometimes the winters are a little longer than I care for! Of course when I lived in Texas the summers were always longer than I cared for! But there's always beauty to be seen and enjoyed if you take the time. Have a wonderful week!

Great series of shots, lovely landscape, although bright it looks very crisp. Thanks for sharing:)
Each season has its own charcter, its own attractions. If it weren't for the unrelenting fog and low clouds I think I would like winter the best. I enjoy the variety of birds and the bare trees give us a good view.
What a beautiful place for a walk. It doesn't look too cold.
Wonderful to see those beautiful blue skies, we have had grey skies for a few weeks now. It must have been good to go for a walk after the long winter. I, like you, like to visit the same places in different seasons.
Recording nature's transitions is indeed interesting.
Beautiful photos. I agree with you, I love the changes of seasons. In fact, my latest post was about celebrating winter!
So pleased you're able to go walking at the lake again. It looks like a wonderful walk in almost any season.
