Our World Tuesday: Spring Marches on

The birds are continuing to get more and more vocal as spring moves forward.

The bather above is an American Robin and the one below is a male cardinal.

The starling in the next shot looked like he was giving a love tap to his bath mate.
ourworlstDSCN8286
I caught a sunrise last week or rather how it colored the clouds.
ourworldmrnDSCN8305
The female cardinal seemed to be debating a bath.
ourworldcrdDSCN8332
Now that I think of it maybe she had already taken a bath and was debating another after her feathers dried out. They look soft and fluffy as if she'd been towel dried, although I guess with birds it's beak dried.

Right when I zoomed in on the black bird he took a flying leap off the branch.

The brown thrasher looked rather charming after her bath.
ourworlthDSCN8450
I think these birds have the most intense eyes.
ourworldbtDSCN8455
The oak trees are way ahead of schedule, already getting their pollen presents.
ourworlspDSCN8497
The dogwoods are starting to show signs of blooming. I think this is about when they usually start blooming.
ourworldspDSCN8542
Spring is everywhere I look and way ahead of schedule in terms of some trees and flowers while others usually bloom around now.
ourworlspDSCN8544
The tulip below is one of two that are blooming. Many of my tulips aren't doing well and I suspect they budded too early and got frozen. I didn't check on them when other things were starting in late February which was way too early.
ourworldspDSCN8580
Some of the flowering trees tend to bloom around now and I'm not worried about them.
ourworlspDSCN8602
It's certainly been a pretty month so far in spite of losing some early blooms to frost. Lately it's been staying well above freezing even at night and some days have been almost like summer.
ourworldspDSCN8612
We've had a lot of rainy days but it usually clears up for part of most days.

What could be cuter than birds with fluffy feathers after a bath? These are adorable shots of wildlife outside your door! Also am amazed at how spring like it is already in your part of the world. The blossoming trees are reminders of what soon will be in BC. :)

What a pleasure to look at all these great photos. I loved the ones taken of the birds bathing. I've been watching mine lately but have not been able to get any decent photos. These are special.

What gorgeous dewy flower shots! And lots of lovely blooms. We're back down to minus temps and snow at the mo, so I'm basking in the beauty of your shots.

Wonderful spring photos dear Carver. It seems very early to see flowering cherries. I am sorry you only have two tulips but if the one you are showing is anything to go by, they well make up fpr all the rest.

I adore your icy daffodils in your header.
