SkyWatch Friday: Independence Day

July Fourth is Independence Day in the United States.
skywatstmDSCN3612
In my neck of the woods, nature provided fireworks in the form of thunder, lightening and torrential rains for the fourth of July.

I decided to go back several months to spring shots for the colors of the American Flag.

My house is naturally decked out with red, white and blue during the spring.

Flowers provide the red and white with the sky providing the blue.

These flowers have long faded but nice to remember spring. Click for the home of SkyWatch Friday.

Wow, looks like quite a storm you had; well you won't have to water the garden for a while! Love the red, white and blues too, happy 4th of July! :)

Love those red leaves. I wish you some sunshine ...

torrential is right when you described that rain. so with that weather no cookout for the 4th then?

Happy 4th of July. I liked the rain washed sky as much as the pretty hues of the flag as reflected in nature.

Wow...your weather has been awful. We have experienced the same here. I´m still waiting for blooming roses in the garden. Your garden is very beautiful...full of colours.

We sure do envy you that rain out here in the parched West! It's a shame if it foiled any planned holiday outing you may have had, but I'm selfishly glad it inspired you to dig out those gorgeous springtime photos to share! I salute your beautiful and natural red, white and blue selections! :-)
