Our World Tuesday: NC museum of Art Park

Bill and I went on a Sunday walk at the NC Museum of Art Park.

The cow was a new installation and I find it amusing.

I snapped most of the shots while I was walking.

It's obvious I didn't try to get the optimal settings.

When I was walking pretty fast while snapping I ended up with an unfocused feel to the shots.

In spite of an inferior photographic quality I thought they were acceptable for a post.

The weather is getting nicer for walking with summer ending.

Definitely acceptable! You're so talented -- I can't walk and chew gum at the same time; hence, I don't get a lot of exercise when I walk b/c there's always a photo op and I have to stop.

The blue striped cow is adorably whimsical. And the park is beautiful in late summer!

Lovely pictures. They are not inferior in any way. Great to see your part of the world.

It is so pleasant to walk now that the weather has cooled down a bit. All the statues are unique but I really like the rings and would be tempted to run right through the middle of them. There is something otherworldly about them and reminiscent of the television show Stargate. :)

your photos are fine! the cow is fun--a zebra cow? LOL
the rings are interesting--are they sculptures?

Thanks to everyone for visiting. To answer your question, yes the rings are sculpture. They are called the Gyre and I like the way they look so different depending on where you stand. They are spaced pretty far apart and are the same size but if you stand at a certain place they look nestled within each other. Also depending on the light they cast interesting shadows.
