ABC Wednesday: G is for Globe

Raleigh, NC has a gigantic globe as part of the downtown Nature Research Center.

The globe is named the Daily Planet.

The continents are made of satellite pictures.

The globe is three stories high and inside the globe is audience seating and a 40 by 40 foot HD screen which scientists can use for special presentations. Click for the home of ABC Wednesday.

oh girl, I got tears in my eyes right now, because I miss so much Brazil and I stared the South America touching my heart, the Globe is wonderful and you got perfect pictures in a beautiful sunny day.
I would like to visit there, Raleigh is a beautiful city!

The globe is amazing and incredibly detailed - which I suppose isn't surprising if it uses satellite images!

That's fantastic. I've been considering buying my grandchildren a really good globe for Christmas next year. He will be 10 Jan. 1 and she will be 6 Mar 3. A good educational gift!
