This week the two photohunt words (bad weather and colours) worked well with Today's Flowers. Update: I accidentally used colors at first so I went back and changed the spelling to the photohunt word colours.
My daffodils above were beaten down by sleet and snow this Monday as well as by cold weather but the colours still shine through.
Pansies are particularly hardy and the one above was partially sheltered in a raised bed against an office building.
In spite of bad weather the hellebore above was showing a bit of its colors. Click here for the bad weather photohunt. Click here for the Colours photohunt. Click here for Today's Flowers.

Can't wait to see some color around here again. Pansies definitely are hardy ones.
Perfect (and beautiful!) shots for the themes, Carver,
I took my picture with the hunts in mind, I am glad you liked it.
Happy weekend and happy hunting!

Hello Dear Carver!
I admire your beautiful flowers.
I hope I did not destroy them ugly aura.
I wish you a nice weekend.
Greetings.
a friend from way back is now living in the durham area posted on facebook today the amount of snow that fell yesterday.
great take on the combined themes.
frankly my dear
Oh poor poor daffodils. (In Oregon we too often had a hard rainstorm just after they popped open. A good year was when they lasted more than a few days.)...Although I must say right now they need rain there more than they need daffys.
Anyway, hope you get some good and lasting spring weather soon
I'm jealous that you have flowers blossoming already! They look beautiful against the snow, really brings out their colours! (I fear I might have been responsible for that "u", it's how we spell things up here in Canada!) :)
Inspite of the bad weather, the flowers are blossoming! We are experiencing a dry spell and our plants are dying.
Hi Carver --
I agree that the two Photo Hunt themes this week go well with each other. Makes things quite a bit easier for those of us who continue to participate in both Sandi's and Gattina's memes. :)
Ah, brave little flowers, showing their colors, even against the continuing winter weather. Wonderful shots.
Hi Carver, your photos are beautiful. Looks like you are having some icy cold weather.
Hope it warms up soon for you and those pretty flowers. Have a wonderful weekend.
Poor flowers in this cold !
Love the colours in those shots - perfect for this week's theme. We still have 2 - 3 feet of snow on the ground -no colourful flowers here. SIGH
Have a super weekend.
Beautiful Colours!! I feel so bad for the flowers but they look so brave.
Beautiful colors and flowers. I'm so looking forward to spring!
Lucky that you at least have flowers! We are still completely covered in snow. It's just now melting. Beautiful photos for both themes!
Poor beauties in extreme coldness.
Poor flowers... I am sure they will bloom again once the weather is better.
Beaten down but surviving and looking beautiful! Love all your photos, can't wait to see a few flowers here. Thanks for sharing Carver and have a great weekend :)
I've had my spring bulbs (flowers up) and it get hit by a freak snow storm. We got hit last Sunday and Monday. 2nd and 3rd of this month.
None of my flowers in bloom but the bed next to home is showing life.
Coffee is on
Sorry to see your daffodils were beaten down by the weather! I hope they stood back up again once they dried off.
The flowers look pretty in spite of the bad weather. That is the secret of being a flower!
beautiful photos, love the way nature's colors push past the weather and make themselves present
It's so sad seeing flowers mixed with ice! But summer is coming!

that´s a bad weather for flowers. But mostly they manage. Still beauty shines through.
Daffs do love it cold, but not that cold...poor things. Great views on all your subjects!...:)JP
