The first part of this week was cold and wet.
I think icicles hanging from the leaves of flowers are beautiful.
It does seem weird to have an ice world after the pretty spring days that preceded it.
Thursday was our first dry day this week.
There was damage to some of the flowers.
Walking around my neighborhood I saw there were also plenty of surviving flowers.
I'm guessing the flower below didn't bloom until after the cold weather had retreated.
Some of the trees lost their flowers but others are still thriving.
I think flowers that drop on the ground but keep some color are almost as beautiful as when they are on the bushes.
The rest of the shots were taken during a walk in my neighborhood this Friday.
Looking at the forecast the temperatures will continue going up and down
Saturday is supposed to be a beautiful spring day but Sunday turns cold and wet again.
The day time temperatures in the forecast are supposed to be above freezing but the temperatures are dropping at night to well below freezing beginning on Sunday.
Most of the early spring flowers do fairly well as long as it warms up during the day as long as the night temperatures aren't too extreme.
In spite of the damage done to some of the flowers due to the swinging weather, there are plenty that were frozen buds but once it warmed up the buds opened in all their splendor.

There are so many beautiful blooms you have.
I think the flowers just want to shed the winter skin like us, and push it away :)
Wonderful photos Carver! I am glad they are survivors of this wacky weather we have been having. It is supposed to snow here again on Tuesday. Thanks for sharing with Today's Flowers and have a great weekend :)
Very nice post.
Have a good weekend.
Wonderful photos! Both the ice and the flowers are beautiful. Have a lovely weekend!
So many wonderful spring flowers. I had almost forgotten about Jonny Jump Ups...people don't show those little shy flowers so often and I always used to love finding them hiding this time of year.
Hi! Nice captures. Your flower photos are breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Again a wonderful series of photos! The ices flowers are gorgeous! And also all the others!
Estupendas imágenes... Un abrazo desde Murcia.
How flowers adapt confusing changeable weather?
Pretty flowers, Carver.
