Nature Notes: Turtle Time

I was surprised to see so many turtles at Shelley Lake this weekend.

I usually don't see turtles sunning themselves until late May or June.

Love the turtles...they're coming out of hibernation here too.

Hi!
Just trying to catch up from your visiting with me while I was attending a convention last week, and busy with hunting down the migrant birds in our area!

Have a good week!!

Looks wonderful outside where you are at. Just started warming up here and the frogs are out. Haven't seen any turtles in our pond nor around the Mississippi, yet. Can't wait!

Warming up already! We saw some turtles at Tarpon Springs, but my pictures weren't very good. Yours are great!

i only saw one turtle so far this season and it was in the middle of the road when someone stopped and picked it up. hoping he placed it somewhere safe and didn't destroy it. love your captures. it's always nice to see them sunning themselves. have a great day~

We were at Brazos Bend State Park a week ago and saw more turtles than we had ever seen there before! It is a pleasure to see them out on a rock or log soaking in the sunshine.
