SkyWatch Friday: Mountains to Sea in NC

If anyone is interested in learning more about the mountain to sea trail you can read about it at the FMTS Site. This project was started in the 1970s and there are still portions that aren't completed but eventually it will be possible to hike from one end of my state to the other. I took the mountain and coastal sky shots during vacations. The falls reservoir is only 10 or so miles from my house.

You can find other Sky Watch Participants at the SkyWatch Home.

Ambitious, hiking across a whole state. Looks lovely. My son did a bit of the Appalachian Trail with the Boy Scouts; maybe I can interest him in the NC hike.

You live in a stunning part of the country, Carver. That trail will be something. Those views are spectacular.

We were on Topsail Island for too short a stay! Nice knowing I was in a state with cool bloggers!

Another beautiful collage. I tried to make one and it was abstract at best..LOL. You posted about the downy woodpeckers on my blog. I have the suet in dough form for the summer so it's easy for the parents to feed their babies without getting all greasy and they are funny. They are shy though..

That's a lovely collage of photos representing from mountain to sea. I enjoyed reading the information about the trail, also. NC is a very beautiful state, from east to west and north to south. Lovely Sky Watch. Thanks for sharing.
