The first shot was taken this week and is my official skywatch shot. I thought it looked like sheer fabric was tossed across the sky.
The second shot was taken in January and the sky wasn't that interesting but I thought the little bird was a cutie.
To visit other skies across the world, please go to Skywatch Friday.

About Me
- Carver
- My original site, Carver's Sight or is that Site, was inspired by reading the blogs of people who I got to know through the Melanoma Patient's Information Page (MPIP). As time has gone on, I find myself talking as much about gardening, photography, and other random thoughts as I do about melanoma follow up. I am happy about that. I have set up an additional site, Carver Cards, which is primarily a photoblog.

I agree that the first shot the sky does look like a sheer fabric.
Great shots on the clods and the bird.
Come visit...
Troy and Martha
PS: I'll be back later and catch up.
Beautiful, both of them!!
Oops.
Clouds not clods
Troy
Yes, I love the first one! We have a lot of those gauzy, sheer looking clouds here in WA and I love them! But I also LOVE the little bird! Marvelous shots! Thanks for sharing and Happy SWF!
Both shots are fun, Carver. The top one really does look like sheer fabric!
the first one's lovely...
lovely blue sky
My entry for SWF this week : in HERE. Hope you have time to visit . Thanks
I love what you see. Beautiful shots, Carver.

Carver: Neat sky shot, the Tufted Titmouse is a great singer in the Spring.
The clouds are amazing. You just have to capture them to remind yourself of their beauty.
Love the bird too.
I agree the bird is cute and worth posting, and I do like that first one. A lot.
I love you describe the clouds as being like sheer fabric. I'm glad you included the photo of the titmouse also. We don't see those around here, but I think they are so cute. Happy SWF!
Great shots, love that 1st one.
I like your fabric sky! Good capture of the bird in the second photo.
Beautiful skyshots! Of course I'm partial to the one that shows the Tufted Titmouse. They are cuties!!
Great sky watch photo, and I like the tufted titmouse.
Amazing shot of the sky and clouds in the first photo! I love all of the different faces that the sky puts on.
Those are great. Love the pic of the bird--you had a good lens for that, i need a bigger one. Loved the clouds--
Laurie
It reminds me of a seersucker tablecloth thrown across the sky for the bird to dine on.
A beautiful shot the first one! The bird is so neat!
That first one is a stunner. I LOVE that sky. I've never seen that combo of puffy and wispy. And you are right, the birdie is a cutie. And I love the March Madness one!
Thanks so much for your comment on my Skywatch guest post. Much appreciated.
The cloud pattern in the first shot is amazing!
Really great top photo: that's a brilliant blue, and intricate lattice lace of clouds.
I'm seeing a huge blue and white blanket, the kind that I wouldn't mind falling on me from the sky :)
Nice one Carver!!
p/s: I made a mistake at Photo Cache website calling out your name in the comment page.. *blush*
I love the sprinkle of clouds in the first shot.
And I've actually got one that looks almost exactly like the second one.
I totally see the sheer curtains - pulled back to watch the clouds dropping cotton balls :)
The little birdie is cute.
Beautiful shots!
Wow Carver, great cloud-- similar clouds were sighted over Long Island. That's what makes Skywatch Friday so fun. Seeing the world as the one big place that it is. Happy Friday 13th from your I-40 buddies over in Greensboro
Great shots, that first one is like sheer fabric!
Beautiful skies, the first one in particular is an awesome sky...
Oh I love the composition on that first! The cirrus mixed with the cirrocumulus make it so fun, like a popcorn sky. Wonderful shots!
I hope to take bird photos too! in my city I need to look for a park to do that! Happy weekend!
very nice ms carver
Very nice.
Looking forward to blue sky's here! We must have birds on the brain! I posted birds too.
Oh wow... I really did think the sky looked stunning and you are right! It does look like a lace fabric of some sort laid across... beautiful!!
I hope you are doing well these days...
Hug♥
