My world (North Carolina Piedmont) is very hot and muggy at the moment. However, I was reminded during a walk yesterday morning, that it is much cooler on the woodland trails. It was very pleasant although outside of the woods it would have already been to hot to walk.
The water in the creek was very stagnant and murky but the leaves and reflection made for a photograph I liked.

About Me
- Carver
- My original site, Carver's Sight or is that Site, was inspired by reading the blogs of people who I got to know through the Melanoma Patient's Information Page (MPIP). As time has gone on, I find myself talking as much about gardening, photography, and other random thoughts as I do about melanoma follow up. I am happy about that. I have set up an additional site, Carver Cards, which is primarily a photoblog.

It looks lovely. As a native Californian I have a problem with muggy. I know many people in the east can't tolerate our dry heat.
Oh my goodness... I could practically feel the heat. That looks like a refreshing and relaxing walk.
Care to share some of the heat with me, it's pretty cold here right now :)
Lovely photos!
Oh my !! What tranquil place to stroll along and as you say, avoid the heat..
Beautiful !!
Great shots !
Lovely shots. It's been really overcast and cloudy here thought it gets warm later. I'm glad we don't have to deal with muggy but I do look for shade. :-)
Marvel your World. Good shots and story.

I visit family in the south every year and I love the lush green, but not so much the humidity. Beautiful photos of your woodland world.
What a lovely, lovely place! Great shots! I don't deal well with muggy, but a stroll along that road would be delightful anyway!
Have a great week, Carver!
That looks to be a beautiful and refreshing walk in the greenery. We have had a hot muggy day here today but it suddenly rained and now is cooler. Have a good week.
Walking in the morning mist has been a favorite activity of mine these past couple of weeks...love it...and loved this post!

This is the kind of place I spend my free time, with a camera of course but not such humid conditions. Lovely tranquility.
I have distant memories of hot and muggy. Keep talking....and sharing your great photos!
gosh, we're having hot days nowadays and your pictures look so inviting. I would love to be in that place during hot days.
My world is here
Ooooh so nice, I would use some heat now, we are in winter over here.
Thanks for sharing.
Now and Then
I can't stand the heat either. My, those trees are so green and I am sure, its shade is refreshing!
great pics thanks for sharing
I love the pictures. I've been taking walks like that too. I just love being out in the woods, but man is it humid.
Great shots!
Summer will be over soon.
Beautiful!

That is probably the best way to avoid the heat. I could just lie there and woke-up when the sun is down lol.
That green still looks very fresh and pre-summer. The bottom photo is like an Impressionist painting - really great photos.
Most people do not realize what great air-conditioners leaves are, all that transpiration! Nice woods you have to walk in.
Carver,
the photos are just lovely so much green to be viewed. I am truly sorry for your humugidy (humid + muggy =) predicament I hope it is over soon!!!
Glad you found a place to cool off. And surounded by such intense greens. The reflection shot is great, as are the others. Really like the dragonfly.
Carver: What a wonderful place to take a walk.
Beautiful green shots ^__^
Its always relaxing when I'm walking in a green place.
I think its hot at the moment when you take the shots ;)
Here in Dutch the summer start now, I am so happy :)
a great walk. The south sure knows how to be muggy.
I'm a child of the forest at heart. Thank you for sharing your lovely pictures!
Cool, wonderful shadows on those trails, Carver! :)
walking under a tree shade gives a lot difference with the heat. I like walking under trees on hot days because of the soothing feeling.
