They do liven up a bleak landscape don't they? But they're elusive little beggars. Seems like they all know when I get the camera out and bug out for otherwhere.
have never seen them in person but I like the vivid red shown here
Beautiful bird very nicely positioned.
What a beautiful touch of color to an otherwise white world!
Another of those colourful birds I wish to photograph, but just not here. Other peoples birds are always so exotic.
Oh, yes! They do bring that wonderful color to our grim and gray, don't they! Love your capture!
Have a great week, Carver!

Carver: Neat shot of the male Cardinal. They get so colorful in Winter.
lucky you in that part of the world you have this beautiful colorful critter.
i posted bird too today.

They bring a touch of color to a drab winter world.
A very colorful capture!
I love cardinals!
There's nothing like that splash of red, is there? Beautiful!
I love cardinals. I aw one for the first time less than a year ago. Very nice picture.
I just started bird watching last Saturday, it is so much fun!
The cardinal's color really stands out!
with their bright color, it sure can brighten up those trees
Yes they do, the colour is wonderful. Enjoy your day!
I'm so impressed by all the colour of the birds, We have lots of good-looking birds in Norway too, but none so colourful.
Such a beautiful colour of the cute little bird! I would love the have this excotic bird in my garden.
That bright red glows in the wintry world! Beautiful!
I don't think I've ever seen a red bird before, other than a parrot. Must be a delight to spot one.
Carver, they are beautiful birds. Especially the bright red male.
How luck you are to meet this fabulous cardinal!Wonderful picture!
hugs
Léia
Wonderfully colourful critter. We're having a blizzard in My Muskoka , on top of a major melt yesterday.
Our lake is frozen, with a pond on top! Freeze-up tonight though.
I wish cardinals graced MY neighborhood! Beautiful shot. I've been having trouble visiting because Mozilla keeps crashing (It seems I have a faulty WLAN card) ... but I'm doing what I can this morning catching up in my reader before clicking over to comment.
Hugs and blessings,
Oh gosh how sweet! This would be great for Ruby Tuesday too! We don't have them in my area so I have never seen one in real time but this is cool!
I love cardinals and I only have a single male coming to the feeders...
Beautiful shot. They sure do brighten up winter.
