That's My World Tuesday: Classic Car Show Raleigh NC

Bill and I went to a classic car show in downtown Raleigh, NC. I am going to number them so at the end I can tell you which were my favorites.
Number One
My World Cars 2a
There was a wide variety of cars ranging from restored antique cars to hot rods and many in between.
Number Two
myworld car 8b
The cars were lined up on Fayetteville Street and there were also some inside the Civic Center.
Number Three
my world car 7a
There was so much to see outside that we didn't pay to see the cars inside the Civic Center.
Number Four
my world 6b
I don't know very much about cars so I can't tell you much about them.
Number Five
my world car 9b
I was surprised that the midget car above is a 1954 model. I would have guessed it to be much older.
Number Six
my world car 10a
I took so many photographs that it's hard to decide which ones to include in this post.
Number Seven
my world car 11a
In general I tend to like the cars with paint which seems to go with the era they were built in but in spite of that I enjoyed the flashy red one below.
Number Eight
my world car 5b
The older cars with flashy paint I'm posting here are primarily ones I like even with the paint job. There were some that went way over the top for me.
Number Nine
my world car 4a
I don't know what to think about the car below. As I said I don't know much about cars but I'm assuming that one is a hot rod, although I could be wrong. The tires stand out for me almost as much as the wild paint.
Number Ten
my world car 3a
There were so many people it was hard to take pictures without getting the crowd into the shot. So many of those people were taking photographs, I was less shy about shooting in a crowd than I normally am.
Number Eleven (red car in the middle of the road)
My World Cars 1a
If I were to be given the chance to drive off in one of these cars I would have a hard time deciding between Number One, Number Three, Number Six, Number Seven and Number Eleven. To visit other places around the world, please go to the home of That's My World Tuesday.

Hmmm I think you would like to drive all cars there! LOL
Wonderful exposition, I'm really enchanted by the number eight and the energetic red! :)
Have a nice week,

I considered going to this show. But I figured the light at the outdoor show would be terrible (being the middle of the day) and getting inside was $10 a head. Plus I don't much like trying to shoot cars at car shows. Always somebody you don't want getting in your shot either in the background or a reflection. But you found some really cool rides!

So what was #1 anyway? I can't see enough of it to tell. Looks British... maybe a Morris of some kind.

Great cars and your photography too. Thanks for sharing.

These cars remind me of works of art. It is unusual when mere metal objects exhibit the beauty, character and charm that these vehicles do. It shows that design talents and creativity blossomed in a big way during days gone by.

Super show! Number 4 is my favourite. Definately, though I would prefer it in black.

Rather nice blog you've got here. Thanks for it. I like such themes and everything that is connected to this matter. I would like to read a bit more on that blog soon.

I will have to show your post to my three grandchildren, they are all car enthusiast to the point that we have the farm littered with old wrecks they are doing up. Thee lad and younger granddaughter did mechanics at school and he also does air-brushing.
We have a motor museum near by and I have been there once and to a motor show you have to drag me kicking and screaming although I love to see the vintage cars go by on their outing if I happen to be on the road.
Full marks for endurance and taking all those pretty pictures to show us.

They all look like fun, my friend. I love going to these events because they owners are so proud of their cars and actually like that people are taking pictures. A very cool experience.

Great photos. My favorite was number eight. I've never been to a classic car show, but now I'd love to.

Thanks for showing the photos; now I'd really like to have been able to see them. The ones inside were fancy, but I could only see three of them from the balcony and they were too far away. You got great photos!

These cars are all well maintained. The gloss and shine captured lots of reflections. Its hard to pick a favorite!

My husband would love to see these. I don't know much about cars too but he would. I love the reflection on the 1st car. The rest of the cars were equally fascinating too. :)
