ABC Wednesday: J is for Jay

The photograph below is of a blue JAY eating its fill on my deck wall last winter.

Several years ago, we went to an environmental educational event at blue JAY point.

If you are interested in learning more about Blue Jay Point County Park, you can join them at their website by clicking here. The park includes a playground and since it was winter some of the children were jumping up and down to stay warm.

We took the Blue Jay Point trail down to falls lake and I thought the seagulls looked like tiny jewels glistening on the sandbar.

There are a number of trails at Blue Jay Point County Park but the one I'm including is named Blue Jay Point trail.

Strangely enough, I've never been to Blue Jay Point despite living closer to it than you do at one time. Looks like I really missed out. But I guess it'll still be there for a while, huh?

I like the jewels on the glistening sand bar photo. Unique. I used to hike and walk a great deal and I miss it. But it's fun to go on blogland hikes.

we were at the State Museum in Albany, NY USA just this past weekend, and were looking at the bird exhibit; my wife said, "Where's the blue jay?" It was on, or near, a clothesline.

feeding the winter birds is important.

Love the colors of the blue jay bird. That is so cool that you went to a Blue Jay Center and those deep blue waters at the point are gorgeous!

The blue jay doesn't mind the sbow?

I like the photo of the boy walking into the wood. I had a couple of my son, and it is so sweet.

That pretty blue looks cold! Or is it me feeling cold looking at that winter scene? What a pretty place... would love to walk around there.

Interesting that you posted this-after not seeing any jays in my backyard for what seemed like several years, I've noticed them this past few weeks visiting our back yard. I love their call as they approach.
