Looking up the day after Christmas was white on white.
The next day there were so many different shades of blue and white to enjoy beginning with the morning light.
The first shots were taken from the windows inside.
Later I ventured out and for part of the day the sky was the bluest of blues.
There is something breathtaking to me about snowy branches against vivid blue skies.
Later there was a mix of blue and white with a softer blue.
I enjoyed the variations throughout the day and took many photographs.
The wind was blowing so hard that at times it looked like it was snowing.

Beautiful blues, Carver, so many different shades. And I love the way you captured the tiny bits of blown snow like re-born snowflakes against the sky.

Oh, these are so very beautiful. Love that blue sky, - - it is not often here with us during winter months but we are enjoying a nice delphinium blue today. Happy New Year, and thank you for these lovely pictures of snow and sky and tree and branch.
Wonderful photos, Carver - I love snow on bare branches. At the same time, I'm trying not to be jealous of how quickly your snow disappears.
It's been great fun skywatching with you. I'm looking forward to 2011, and wish you all the best for a happy new year.
Wonderful winter scenes, Carver.
The combination of the white snow and the clear blue sky is heavenly. It's a pity our winter is mainly grey ...
Whishing you a very Happy and Healthy New Year.
