That's My World Tuesday: A touch of snow for the season

I was raking leaves on Saturday and it started snowing. I didn't realize we had a chance of snow that day.
myworldtreenwde4cms
I grabbed my camera and an umbrella so my camera wouldn't get wet and started snapping pictures.
myworldnanddec4
I didn't think it would amount to anything so I wanted to get some wintry shots while it lasted.
myworlpintrdec4sn
I checked the weather online and it said there was a chance of rain changing to snow when the temperatures dropped which baffled me since it was pouring down snow while I was reading that.
myworldhollyberrdec4
I kept going out with my umbrella taking pictures thinking maybe they had it backwards and it would switch over to rain.
myworldweathvnsndec4
I had to laugh at myself remembering how my daughter used to tease me when I wanted to check the weather report before going outside so I'd know if I needed a jacket.
myworldtreedec4lm
My daughter would say, mom why don't we just open the door and step outside to see what the weather is like.
myworldsnlmbdec4
It is silly how I rely so much on either the internet or the TV to tell me what the weather is like and then am surprised when I go outside and it's not like what they were forecasting at all.
myworldsnonightdec4
When I woke up Sunday I went back outside to take more pictures before it all melted.
myworldsnowmrdec5
It was very pretty Sunday morning with the blue sky and snow.
myworlddec5tresk
The snow covered the ground but didn't stick on the roads which is my preference at this point in my life. A few trees still haven't dropped their leaves so it was very colorful.
myworldcoltrdec5
I almost felt like the weather had been intended to give me photo opportunities without the inconvenience of icy roads.
myworldtreeicdec5
I definitely took advantage of wintry scenes to photograph.

Grandi immagini invernali.
Mi piacciono molto questi bianco e nero con alcuni spruzzi di colore.
Buona serata.

I am impressed with your snow pictures, especially when holding an umbrella and camera at the same time! I love the red berries in the snow. The white, green and red definitely is making me feel like Christmas. :)

beautiful photos. i don't think the weathermen ever get it right anymore. i've always stepped outside to decide what i needed to wear. i should have gone for a walk too so i could have had more winter pics to share, sigh. maybe next time.

hope all is well. have a great day.

You're as nuts as I am. I was just out there in a tropical deluge trying to get a few shots of it bucketing down. We so seldom get a tropical storm that comes down across the whole continent.

Lovely Christmas spirited photos. What wonders a snowfall creates! The first real snow is always so exciting, glad you went out shooting.

The Prof's answer when the children asked what the weather would be like was invariably 'look out the window'. As professor of meteorology he insisted that he studied the weather but was no soothsayer.

Your landscape looks almost like mine, but I miss your lovely red berries, which gives a bright contrast to the white snow.
I wish you a wonderful week!

Beautiful - snow against blue sky is striking.

I think you actually got more snow than we did yesterday, but it's snowing again here so I think we'll catch up pretty fast.

I like the greenish special effects of the tunnel. Great Job. I also like the red berries against the snow. We have a summer Christmas here.
