ABC Wednesday: A is for apples

Apples may be an average A word but I have an abundance of apple photographs in my archives.
abcappbr1319
The first two shots were taken in Blowing Rock, NC in 2006 of apples which had fallen into the stream and water garden at the Cannon memorial park.

Then in 2007 I took photographs of an apple dish I prepared. I have no idea why I photographed the ingredients or the dish.

These photographs reminded me I haven't made this dish in ages so maybe I will try it again soon.

I also have photographs from Blowing Rock, NC in 2010 and once again the apples were in the stream at the Cannon Memorial park.

If I was a bear, I would almost be brave enough to risk close encounters with humans to gather this abundance of apples.

The last two shots were taken at the apple orchard at the Moses H. Cone Memorial park in Blowing Rock, NC in 2010.

Altogether, I probably have many different kinds of apples shown here but I don't know their names.

I zoomed in on the apple orchard, and those look like Red Delicious, but, all in all, a wonderful collection of A-for-Apple photos for ABC Wednesday.

You must be an apple girl. I like the variety of photos of the apples, and the many A words you used throughout your commentary.

Hhmmm, the apple dish looks delicious. They are a very underrated fruit. Last year my boyfriend and me discovered an apple tree that bears apples with red flesh - they made very unusual looking apple juice and sauce.

What is more American than apple pie?

The apples in the pool of water, the Ocean spray cranberries advertise how they harvest the cranberries in the water. I was very curious, so I googled it. Your apples are like that.

I love your apples, - living in orchard country they are one of my favourite fruits and I have chosen A for Apple too, - a new Apple, the Ambrosia.

Awesome collection of apples! I'd battle the bears for a basket of those in the water. Looks like a delicious dish.

Oh, my! That's a LOT of apples! Fantastic! You reminded me that I too, had photographed my apple harvest this past Sept. and was saving the images for this "A" posting. As you can see, my memory was absent...
