Apples may be an average A word but I have an abundance of apple photographs in my archives.
The first two shots were taken in Blowing Rock, NC in 2006 of apples which had fallen into the stream and water garden at the Cannon memorial park.
Then in 2007 I took photographs of an apple dish I prepared. I have no idea why I photographed the ingredients or the dish.
These photographs reminded me I haven't made this dish in ages so maybe I will try it again soon.
I also have photographs from Blowing Rock, NC in 2010 and once again the apples were in the stream at the Cannon Memorial park.
If I was a bear, I would almost be brave enough to risk close encounters with humans to gather this abundance of apples.
The last two shots were taken at the apple orchard at the Moses H. Cone Memorial park in Blowing Rock, NC in 2010.
Altogether, I probably have many different kinds of apples shown here but I don't know their names.

A superb collection of apples, Carver, unusual shots and great pics!!
abc...
I zoomed in on the apple orchard, and those look like Red Delicious, but, all in all, a wonderful collection of A-for-Apple photos for ABC Wednesday.

You must be an apple girl. I like the variety of photos of the apples, and the many A words you used throughout your commentary.
Hhmmm, the apple dish looks delicious. They are a very underrated fruit. Last year my boyfriend and me discovered an apple tree that bears apples with red flesh - they made very unusual looking apple juice and sauce.
So many apples, the apple dish looks tasty!
You had me at cognac!
ROG, ABC Wednesday team
You certainly have an interesting collection! The dishes look delicious.
You have shown us an amazing set of apples. Those in the stream are fascinating. Bounty for everyone.
What is more American than apple pie?
The apples in the pool of water, the Ocean spray cranberries advertise how they harvest the cranberries in the water. I was very curious, so I googled it. Your apples are like that.
Great shots,
and i really like the last two -
beautiful red apples ;))
Your Apple Collection is wonderful, and that dessert looks so delicious. Yummy.
very pretty. makes me want some apples!!!
I love your apples, - living in orchard country they are one of my favourite fruits and I have chosen A for Apple too, - a new Apple, the Ambrosia.
Awesome collection of apples! I'd battle the bears for a basket of those in the water. Looks like a delicious dish.
I'm impressed here, apples in everywhere, a pool of apples! wow
Amazing pictures!

Brrr . imagine bobbing for those apples?
A is for apple this time around. :)
Wow neat! Mother nature's cup runneth over
Terrific photos of apples on the tree and off! Cannon looks like a giant apple dunking barrel!

That's a lot of apples... Visiting from ABC Wednesday. I hope you can visit mine too:
A is for Angels
A truly delicious post for today! I love the predictability of the apples in the stream with each year. Nicely done!!
I love that first shot with all the apples in the water.
Cool find!
And that apple dish looks delicious!
A very nice entry for Aday and a great collection of apples!
My favourite shot is the second one with the rhododendron and the red Japanese maple tree;o)
So many apples rotting?
Great pictures.
oh, what a waste =( the apples here also just fell off and all on the ground
Beautiful collection of pictures and a stream full of apples is so delightful. Cider it will be for me ;)
Oh, my! That's a LOT of apples! Fantastic! You reminded me that I too, had photographed my apple harvest this past Sept. and was saving the images for this "A" posting. As you can see, my memory was absent...
What a fun collection of Apple pics. I'd love your recipe, it looks very good.
Anyone want to go bobbing for apples?
Thank you for stopping by my blog.
On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you for participating. We are looking forward to this next year, and hope to see you back each week.
