SkyWatch Friday: Soft Morning Light

I like the feeling of movement in the sky.

I was just a little late for the sunrise but there is something magical to me about morning light, shortly after sunrise.

You can't tell it from these shots but there was a storm during the night and more storms were forecast for later in the day.

At this point any rain is welcome.

I like the way the light from the sky formed shapes in the water.

What soft early morning photos, Carver. I really am charmed by the mystical sun-puddle on the water in the last one. :)

not only are the skies magical in the morning, the smell of earth as the day breaks is so invigorating too.

Hiya Carver,
My feet are aching to step onto that bridge.
So inviting.
So peaceful and tranquil.

I love morning light, too. Siesta would be a good thing on a national level--that way, we could sleep through the least photogenic hours of the day! Thanks for these gems.

Great that you could get your walk in between the storms. Yes, there is always magic in the morning and so often a reverential hush.
