SkyWatch Friday: Change is in the air

The first two shots don't show very much sky because my oak trees were still holding on to their leaves.

These leafy shots were taken seven days ago and things have certainly changed since then.

The next shot was taken this Wednesday of one of my oak trees and almost all the leaves have dropped giving a better view of the sky.

I watched the jets draw on the sky a few days ago.

Next a sunset I watched out of my bedroom window.

Wednesday I walk with a friend at Shelley Lake and the sky was wonderful. Her dog wanted to stop periodically which gave me a chance to take photos.

I love this time of year when each day walking at the same place gives a slightly different view because of seasonal changes.

The first reflection I caught was in the creek that feeds into the lake.

I couldn't get over how perfect the sky was.

I do so love the clouds and reflections.

Loved seeing the seasonal changes -- just talked to our daughter and she said the leaves on the black walnut tree all came down in a wind a couple days ago and now they can see the sky better (but of course now they have to rake). So she would relate to your post!

Hope you had (are having?) a good Thanksgiving.

How quickly the view changes once the leaves have dropped - your last capture of the clouds reflected in the lake is superb and I can see why you would have enjoyed your walk.

The picture of the oak tree which has the sun piercing through the leaves is my favorite :)

I am so behind this week with my commenting. These are perfect skies. I do not think I have seen any like these as of late. They are gorgeous. I thought you pictures of the trees a week apart were so interesting...all of the leaves and then no leaves. Things can change so quickly in late fall. This is a wonderful series. Am so glad I got to see them tonight. genie
