The Weekend in Black and White: Cows Hanging Out

LinkEvery time I see cows or horses hanging out in pastures within the city limits I do a double take.

The cows I photographed are on the campus of The North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Cows in a college campus - indeed a very rare occurrence. But then this is a veterinary college.

Oh yes -- Bill graduated from Washington State University (in education), but it has the Pacific Northwest regional Veterinarian program -- of course Pullman WA is, except for the university, a small town in the middle of the State's agriculture belt, so the cows weren't that surprising there.

love the strength of the white buildings...really nice contrast to the sky and landscape.

Yes, it does seem odd to see cows hanging out by those buildings. I live near an agricultural college that has lots of livestock, it's a great place to visit.

Love the flow of the dark fence in that top image, Carver.

Cows are the quintessential black and white aren't they?
