To combine the two photohunt themes (traces and ink) I manipulated a photo using graphic tools (tracing as well as pin and ink). I figured tracing a photo worked for traces and the pin and ink tool worked for ink.
Below is the same photograph I used for the photohunt but this is what it looks like as a regular black and white shot for the weekend in black and white.
Last, the shot in full color. As a rule I'm not happy with the results when I try manipulating a photograph in a graphics program. However, in this case I like the way the first picture worked out using the graphics tools.

The original photo was a perfect one to play with. I like how it morphed into such pretty lacy patterns.
Good job! I am partial to the original, with the green and sun peeking through :)
My photo hunt entry for this week
Happy weekend Carver!
the black and white photo is very nice. i don't know why that one speaks most to me... the graphics one is really good too. you should play more often with your other images.

Beautiful work with images.
I like the delicacy of the black and white, and the lovely light. But I have to admit I'm very drawn to your manipulated version.

I agree with you, Carver! I think the processing works very well in the first picture! A wonderful and interesting pattern!

Great work, the texture is wonderful.
Clever work! You picked a perfect original to play with --the top one looks like an antique Oriental etching.
Lovely work.

Brilliant! And they are beautiful in your different versions.
I'm more of a 'natural' shot person, too, but sometimes editing gives great results like yours! Loving them all.
the flowers whith the blue, cloudless sky, makes a perfect bw image. Very beautiful.
Very interesting and creative edit! The result in B&W is beautiful! Wonderful done!
These are wonderful Carver. I am reminded of my college days as a textile design student.
