That's My World Tuesday: Someone has been let loose with green paint

My world is starting to look like someone spilled green paint over it. The first shot was taken recently in my neighborhood.

I ordinarily work from my home computer but I had to commute to my Durham, NC office last week. I was struck by the smoke stack surrounded by a sea of green when I was walking up stairs at my office so I stopped and took the shot.

The next shot was taken in downtown Durham at the parking lot across from the office building where the company I work for is housed. Next door to the brick offices is the old house below which is covered by the green leaves of the tree this time of year.

Leaving the office and driving through a Durham neighborhood to get to the expressway, I was greeted by more evidence of someone throwing green paint over my world.

Back home the canopy of my pecan tree greets me with more . . . . that's right you guessed it, green.

Facing my greenhouse and storage building there is another sea of green although splashes of other colors are evident if you look. Soon the sea of green will be replaced with a crazy mixture of many different colored blooms.

It is very verdant and lush. Also noticed how clean the neighbourhood looked too which is lovely to see.

It's that time of the year when everything is lush and green and oh so wonderful.

It makes me crave for corned beef and cabbage :) No seriously it does.

We are a world of green right now, too and it's such a relief from the brown crispiness of the past three or four years of drought...love these shots, especially the smoke stack in the center of all that lushness!

You really are living in a sea of green, as are we at the moment. Since our recent rains the whole landsscape has turned from brown to a vibrant emerald green...so uplifting for the spirit. I salute all the green in the world!

I felt this same way this morning waiting for the bus, all the malls along Broadway are planted with trees, plants, bushes all lushly verdant due to the horrendous rain we've had the last 2 weeks... culminating in a HUGE storm last nite that is still over the city dumping rain along with loud thunder and lightening .. and MUGGY temps

That smoke stack is a pretty amazing shot. Love the second shot with the old house and the enormous tree next to it but I wonder if those people ever get sunlight in their house it is so big.
