I probably won't have any iris in bloom until May. I took these shot in May of last year.
I have a lot of different varieties of iris but I particularly like these dutch iris. They are somewhat irregular and show signs of being past their prime but I cannot deny that so am I.

You pictures are always perfect with adorable lights and colours!I love this sweet flower "Iris"!
Léia :)
They look like beautiful ballroom gowns!! Very pretty irises!! Loved the blue ones!!
The purple iris is gorgeous!

(also past my prime!!)
Beautiful, brilliant shades. Can't wait for spring to arrive here in the frozen tundra!
Lovely photos, - you have shown the iris beautifully, - the shapes, the colours. I have been out to see if the corms are sending out any green swords, and look forward to May and the brilliance of the iris and the poppies together.
I have a few irises in my garden and every year I take photos of them budding, in their glory, and as they fade. One of my faves! Have a great week,
Leslie

Love irises and their beautiful velvety throats.
These don't look "past their prime" and I don't think you are either.
love them, bright and sweet flowers.
Striking colours!
I'M ready for spring now!
ROG, ABC Wednesday team
Iris are such delicate flowers, I love to see them blooming, mine are a mauve in colour.
My single iris blooms with a pinky/purple hue - your yellow one is a WOW - I may need to find a similar shade. Gorgeous photos!
Such pretty flowers, and an infinite variety, one could never tire of them.
I love Iris'. Mine won't be blooming for a month or two yet. It's still to cold here for them.
Beautiful Iris flowers. The colors are lovely.
So pretty!
Please come and see my ABC Wednesday post, thanks!
We're on the same page. I too posted an Iris (a white one).
Your photography is stunning! The colors great!
Irises are among my favourite flowers! I looove them!
They don't do well in my garden for some reason, but every little while I plant some anyway. My personal favourites are the blue/purple ones, especially those with yellow in them.
My irises are climbing out of the ground. Hurray!

Oh how wonderful and... the beauty of the imperfections.
Thank you,
Meryl
Your irises were beautiful and your photos so gorgeous. I planted irises in baskets for this first time this year. I can hardly wait for them to bloom.
So lovely! The Great White North is still...er...white. But the temperature is spring-like so maybe some crocuses will bloom soon. :)
