Jonquil is a tone of the color yellow and is also used as a name for narcissus (daffodil is another name for some narcissus).
Jumping jilly there sure are a lot of jonquils in my part of the world this time of year.
The center of the narcissus below is the jonquil color.
And below is another juicy jonquil.

These are absolutely beautiful photographs of a common flower signaling spring, Carver! The light behind the first daffodil makes me think I can reach out and grab it.:)
Oh, I love the colorful Jonquils! And what a great post for the J Day! Gorgeous photos! Hope you're having a great week, Carver, with lots of sunshine!!

Wonderful photos and fills one with joy!! Happy looking Jonquils!
Wish you the very best!!
Cheers!
Ah! I learned something. I've read a fantasy novel where all the faeries were named after flowers and one of the characters was named Jonquil.
Oh, I love these flowers. They just say Spring to me. Terrific post for the letter J.
Lovely pics.
Beautiful! I can't wait to see these blooming again...It's pretty brown and wet around here right now.
oh sweet Carver, this Jonquil is magnificent!
The second shot is also so adorable ( I imagine little Luna there among the flowers and the beautiful tree with some butterflies) Cool!
Hugs
Léia
The very best harbingers of spring!
A jolly springlike post! Love it!
The Jonquils are lovely, mine won't be blooming for a few weeks.
First flower this week! Lovely.

Very interesting J and so pretty too.
Please come and meet the J's in my Family, hope to see you around, thanks!
Oh my, this is Spring busting out all over your blog, and I'm loving it!!!!
Thanks so much for the reminder in all this rain....that Spring is coming.
Seen those flowers somewhere but didn't know or must have forgotten it, they were called Jonquils which sounds like a nice name in fact. Quite honestly sometimes I think they look lovelier and prettier on pictures like these.
I yearn to see the jonquils, - they need a few more sunny days before one can truly say they are visiting.
Mine are not up yet...but I DO forget the interchangeable name between jonquil and daffodil (I wonder how that happened?)
Very lovely flowers.
Jonquil: new to me.
Thanks for sharing this.
Oh, how neet. I love when the narciscus come out... means spring is here.
Great post.
enjoyed the flowers.
joyful and beautiful J post.
Wow, what a wonderful set of photos! :) These flowers are stunning.
Kisses from Nydia.
I always see a jonquil, the first of spring, on my Birthday. I don't know if I just ignor them before, but it happens every year! lovely photo's.
