Gray doesn't have to be grim.
Gray can hold a glimmer of light.
Garrulous geese can glide.
A solitary goose can gesticulate with its expressive head.
A giant great blue heron towers over the ducks.
On a grey morning two exercisers are pulling on a rope of some kind.
Gray can be gorgeous with its varied tones.
I caught a glimpse of another great blue heron.
Glowing grey water.
The glow grows in the grey.

I agree that grey is not necessarily grim. In fact, I rather like the colour grey. ;))
Wow, you made gray/grey GREAT!

Great "G" post and I love those photos. YOu show the depth gray has to offer!
I always struggle with the spelling of gray/grey.
I never know which is correct.
Beautiful gray photos and lovely grey pictures...
Great gorgeous pictures. Grey need not be dull. And your pictures just prove that.
Great post! Grey goes for grand too- like grandma, and grand old man.
A special selection of images, they are all gorgeous!

I like gray/grey and your pictures are lovely misty magic. And a perfect post for the day.
Beautiful photographs, such views are giving me much joy. I am greeting
Beautiful and poetical, like your green post! Thanks for sharing and for visiting!
Brilliant post! Well done, I say, well done!
Oh I so much prefer grey with an 'e'! My dictionary didn't say it was optional. The e makes it seem more poetical. I really love grey as it appears in nature.
i love your post, Carver. you showed us the depth and width of gray.:p
it should be "breath and depth". LOL
"breadth and depth"--i need more coffee!:p

gray can be beautiful indeed!
Excellent take on G-day! I really love the reflection of the lone goose in the water, and your scenic shots of the water are always lovely.
Grey has been so under rated....you just showed that♫♪ Have a 'greyt' day♪
And gray becomes fun. One of them, spellings is British I guess. The shot of two exercisers fascinates me.
Wow! Great photography of nature's beauty ~ especially like the blue heron ~ (A Creative Harbor)
Interesting greys or grays, I especially like the last two water shots.

Omigosh... I just thought of a pile of 50 Shades of Grey puns. D'OH!
I'm a back and forth grey/gray person myself. Glad to know it's not just me!
Photos are great; I especially liked your gliding geese.
Oh dear, I missed my chance to join the "G" post. Serves me right as it's another way too long one :) In the mean time, I really love these "gray" and "grey" shots. "I, too, waver back and forth between spellings.) You really brought out the gentle hues and mystical beauty of the many shades of black and white.
