ABC Wednesday: G is for gray grey

Depending on where you live you might spell it grey or gray. I go back and forth with my grey gray spelling.

Gray doesn't have to be grim.

Gray can hold a glimmer of light.

Garrulous geese can glide.

A solitary goose can gesticulate with its expressive head.

A giant great blue heron towers over the ducks.

On a grey morning two exercisers are pulling on a rope of some kind.

Gray can be gorgeous with its varied tones.

I caught a glimpse of another great blue heron.

I agree that grey is not necessarily grim. In fact, I rather like the colour grey. ;))

I always struggle with the spelling of gray/grey.
I never know which is correct.

Oh I so much prefer grey with an 'e'! My dictionary didn't say it was optional. The e makes it seem more poetical. I really love grey as it appears in nature.

Excellent take on G-day! I really love the reflection of the lone goose in the water, and your scenic shots of the water are always lovely.

Oh dear, I missed my chance to join the "G" post. Serves me right as it's another way too long one :) In the mean time, I really love these "gray" and "grey" shots. "I, too, waver back and forth between spellings.) You really brought out the gentle hues and mystical beauty of the many shades of black and white.
