ABC Wednesday: T is for truck
Three Trucks Two Trees
There are actually branches from many more trees but I liked the phrase best for T. The leaves are mostly gone from the trees in the shot below. I took it early last week.

Our World Tuesday: Third week in November
It's starting to feel like winter.
We've had back and forth weather with the coldest nights and days being clear and the rainy ones being above freezing.
Most of the trees are bare after a windy day but a few are clinging to some leaves.
On a warmer day a bunch of American Robins monopolized the bird baths.
I have robins year round but in the winter they stick to the trees for the most part and I don't see as many at the bird baths.
The oak leaves are falling fast.
The shots with the most leaves on the trees are ones I took earlier last week except for one tree I'll mention later in this post.
The bare limbs make it easier to see the birds grasping for food that's left.
I love this time of the year.
The house finch, sparrow and cardinal were hanging out at a bird bath I needed to fill.
I usually wait to refill the bird baths until the birds have flown off rather than interrupt them.
The past few days I've had to get ice out of the bird bath in the morning.
This morning the bird baths refroze during the day so I emptied the ice out again mid day.
The tree below is my neighbor's and I can see it from my bedroom window. It is always the last tree to get it's fall leaves and the last to drop them.
The male cardinal below looks like he is trying to tell me something.
Perhaps he was trying to remind me to get the ice out of his bath which I did.
The bluejay below was going to the bath and back to the tree every few minutes.

SkyWatch Friday: November is still colorful where I live
Even in the fog the autumn leaves stand out.
We continue to have a mix of rainy and sunny days.
I have had another week full of sky photography.
The sky changes so much even over a few hours.
I'm seeing more of the sky through bare leaves but many trees haven't dropped their leaves yet.
I caught the moon one morning before it went to sleep for the day.
When I go to the office for meetings I always snap a few shots.
The crepe myrtle below is on the curb of the parking lot I use.
The crepe myrtle trees at my house have already lost their leaves unlike the one above. The shot below is of one of the few houses on a downtown block in Durham that's mostly offices.
The house in the next shot was converted to be used for offices.
I never tire of photographing water towers.
We've had a great mix of clouds.
The shot above and below is of the same Japanese Maple.
I spotted a lace collar across the sky below.
The next shot is of one of the oak trees in my front yard.
Next a long piece of lace.
The next shot shows branches from two of my three oak trees.
Next a mix of clouds and oak tree limbs.
The last shot is of the clouds above pine trees and a bare limb tree I shot from my back yard.

ABC Wednesday: S is for Sweep
Someone needs to sweep their stairs and sidewalk.
I'll let you in on a secret. That someone is ME.

Our World Tuesday: Foggy Sunday
Most of Sunday was foggy which I find magical when it isn't an every day occurrence.
My neighbor's Japanese Maple brightens up my street.
It's such a vivid color in the fall right before the leaves drop. In the shot below on the top right my oak leaves are blending into the maple with their red color.
We went for a Sunday walk at Shelley Lake as we often do.
Since the trail that leads to the lake is at the end of the street in my subdivision I used to walk around this lake almost every day.
I need to get back into the habit of daily walks.
I like walking during the cooler seasons more than in the summer so there isn't any reason for me not to try to get back into the swing of walking more.
There are also a lot of alternate trails near me that follow the creeks that feed into the lakes.
There's something mysterious about fog.
Lately we've had sunny skies on Sunday even when other days are gray but I didn't mind having a gray foggy Sunday this week.
The duck below stayed under water for long periods of time while fishing.
The boat house is closed for the winter.
The cormorants weren't on the pilings like they usually are this time of the year.
It looks like the reflection from the Canada Goose is kissing the gull.
I love the way the ducks created abstracts in the water.
There was a diverse group of ducks hanging out.
Although many trees have lost their leaves, quite a few are still colorful.
There weren't as many people walking, probably because of the foggy day.
It was warmer than it has been lately although still slightly cool in the morning.
