That's My World Tuesday: Half and Half

This time of year strikes me as half and half in my part of the world. Half of the time it's chilly, half of the time it's warm. Half of the trees are changing colors, half are still the same. Some of the trees like the one below are half one color and half another.
Photobucket
I think my favorite trees are the ones which have part of their summer color and part of their fall color at the same time. It's fanciful to me.
Photobucket
I've always liked change and I think the changes during autumn are my favorite but there are aspects to all of the seasons that I like.
Photobucket
I don't think I could tolerate living somewhere that didn't have distinct seasons.
Photobucket
I know I couldn't live somewhere that didn't have a lot of different kinds of trees.
Photobucket
Of course push comes to shove I guess we all have to get used to wherever we end up, but I am grateful for seasons and trees.
Photobucket
I hope that I am always able to live somewhere that has both.

I too would love to live in a colder climate, but that is not the way the cookie crumbles for me. I love your trees,

Thanks for coming back about the rose, I have 3 Sutter's Gold and one of them is a huge climber. This year it has flowers over 6" in diameter. Must be something to do with the fright they had of dieing last summer's super drought.

You know lats week when I said my trees hadn't started turning yet? Well roughly 24 hours after I said that, the yellow poplar in my front yard busted out in a blaze of (wait for it) yellow. Saw some pretty impressive displays yesterday too, though I couldn't say how many photos I got of them (that wasn't what I was after).

Oh I needed this 'fix' of autumn color .. I went looking for some in my 'hood and I swear all the trees go from green to dead .. with nothing in between!

love the multi color trees, epecially the red in the first pic

What a gorgeous red on that first tree. I don't miss the northeast's cold but I do miss the foliage. A few leaves turning brown and dropping off of my pomegranate tree just isn't the same thing.

Incredible! And such gorgeous colors -- and even better having more than one color on one tree!! We're beginning to see more color, but most of them will be a little later. Stunning photos as always, Carver!

Have a great week!

Great fall leaves pics. I like when some green remains to contrast with the reds, yellows and oranges. Jack met a man from Florida in N.C. last week who was heading up to PA just to experience the fall foliage.

Trees that are half & half fascinate me! How does nature do that?

All the trees here are either all of one colour or bare now. Luckily I think bare branches are graceful, even beautiful. LOL

Your fall colors are so vibrant and showy. I love being surrounded by trees, and also enjoy the change in seasons, but could live without a whole lot of snow and cold. Excellent captures and post.

The trees are half and half, but the photos are completely wonderful. You've captured the beauty of autumn.

Spectacular autumn colors. I used to live (New Mexico) where there were seasons. Houston just seems to have warm, hot, hotter and hotest -- in other words, no season, no wonderful trees turning colors. Even my little maple doesn't seem to know for sure what it is supposed to do. I really enjoyed your photos. Thanks

Wow, stunning fall colors and gorgeous photos. I guess a tree has different colors according to where more sun hits it.
