That's My World Tuesday: My kind of snow

I know a lot of you have been hit by more snow than you want and may be tired of it.
Photobucket
I decided to feature snow shots this week because we had my favorite kind of snow Friday night and Saturday morning.
Photobucket
It was soft and fluffy snow which looked beautiful in the trees and on the ground, but the roads were perfectly clear.
Photobucket
It wasn't very cold so I could go outside without gloves and take pictures.
Photobucket
The snow and sleet we had two weeks ago was good for the children who wanted to go sledding. This weekend's snow wasn't good for sledding but was good for building snowmen and for snow ball fights.
Photobucket
I am still a kid in some ways and able to enjoy the beauty of snow but I am also at an age where I'm pleased when the roads are clear.
Photobucket
To me it's the best of both worlds to have snow piled up in the trees and on the grass but for the asphalt to show through on the road.
Photobucket
It was also easy to keep plenty of food out for the birds because I could brush off the deck and garden ledges easily for my snowy weather feeding stations.
Photobucket
The bird in the shot above is on the swing ledge looking down at all the food on the deck ledge and deciding which seeds appeals to him.
Photobucket
I liked the way the snow landed on the ivy on the oak trees above.
Photobucket
I think the little bird below looks like he has made a little winter hut for warmth.
Photobucket
It was a short lived snow as the sun came out and starting warming up my world.

Yes, Carver - I´m tired of snow. And last week I posted a photo taken last summer. I had a dream that I could control the snow by that, but I have given up. Next weekend we will get more, much more snow!
I love to look at other peoples winter photos and yours are really beautiful. I wish I was as good as you, to catch birds with the camera!!!

Wow ... what MARVELOUS wintry photos you've captured ... I don't tire of looking at your beautiful snowy pics with red berries and beautiful little birdies too ... just wonderful (though methinks I wouldn't be willing to go outside without gloves to take pictures 'cuz I'm a softie ... spoiled by Southern California life.
Hugs and blessings,

What lovely shots. I particularly like the first one of the snow on the branches with the little bird in the centre. Beautifully done!

I know so many are so very tired of the snow, but your photos are so breathtaking and beautiful! Love how the colors show up against the white and I love the birds! Like so many things, it's easy to overlook the beauty -- particularly when it makes getting around so difficult and uncomfortable. Thanks for the reminder of the beauty that is always there for us to see! Have a great week!

Totally awesome shots, Carver! I just think those little birdies would freeze to death, but apparently not! My fave is of the tree branches with the red bird.

This is my kind of snow too, it makes it all look like Narnia. Wonderful capture of the Blue Jay too.

The snow on the branches is so beautiful. Don't know how these fragile little birds survive the winter cold - I guess you help by feeding them.
Beautiful photos.

Yes we have had a lot of snow but I never tire of seeing snowy photos, especially when they are as lovely as these.

You found a lot of interesting things in the snow :)
Here in Budapest a lot of cars are smashed by the snow falling from the roofs.
Probably more snow when I go back to Sweden :(

Hello Carver,

Brrrr, but those birdie photos basking in the snow brighten up the scene for me! It is so white outside here (or dirty white), I am going cuckoo. (yes, another bird :).
