Our World Tuesday: long weekend at the beach

My family gathered this weekend at Atlantic Beach, NC.
This post is going to be thrown together hastily.
I took a ton of photos and haven't gone through them yet.
I randomly picked a few of the photos for this hurried post.
I couldn't believe how well the weather cooperated with us.
There was a chance of thunderstorms every day but we didn't even see any rain except a little storm we drove through on the way to the beach.
I don't mind a storm at the beach but since we weren't there for very long it was nice having such good weather.
It was hot but most of the time a nice breeze made it comfortable and the water was a good temperature.
The next shot is a gull fishing. The first shot was of pelicans and the fifth and six shots are of willets.
It was nice to get out of town and see my family at such a beautiful place.
I don't know what kind of birds are in the sea oats below.

Lovely captures Carver. Particularly loved the pics of the storks flying in formation like air craft & the group of sandpipers strolling on the beach !

How nice that you had a chance to visit with your family in such a beautiful setting. I like the windswept grasses in the foreground giving contrast to the sea. The breeze by the water always brings such relief in the heat!

Such exquisite captures for the day on the beach. Love the shot of the flying storks!!! I walk along the beach every day, but it´s colder than ever and it´t raining every day. This is not a normal summer. Lucky you!

I just fell in love with sea oats a couple of years ago when we traveled up the East Coast. Your pictures are all lovely and everything about your "hastily thrown together" post looks professional and beautiful to me. Great place for a family get together.

Beautiful "random" photos. Just love the pelicans and the willets and the fluffy clouds against foamy waves.
