The sky on February the 26th was white on white.
February the 27th was all about the blues.
The sun setting on the last day of February below
March 1 arrived with freezing rain turning the trees into lace.
The 2nd and 3rd of March were rainy and moderate and I didn't take a single shot but today (I'm preparing this post on Wednesday March 4, 2015) is very warm and a beautiful spring day as shown below.
Unbelievably Thursday night the temperatures will by 50 degrees lower than today's high (not as cold as it sounds since it's so warm today) but even so, cold enough for the forecast of sleet, freezing rain and snow. Tomorrow will get colder and colder throughout the day instead of warmer. I'm glad I checked the weather so I won't dress to lightly for my drive home from work tomorrow.
My guess is the ground will have warmed up enough over the past few days that it won't end up amounting to much on the roads but we'll see. There are still some piles of snow from when roads and parking lots were cleared last week that haven't totally melted which reminds me of the saying that the left over snow is waiting around for company. That often turns out to be the case when there is a little snow left after it warms up and most melts and then there will be another snowfall so the leftovers don't get lonesome. The cold makes for some lovely skies.
I am loving your 'through the week' posts; so well done and so easy to understand what your week has been like.
Funny saying, but I hope sometime soon whatever snow is left just stays lonesome until it melts.
What a wonderful variety of skies, Carver!! I love them all!! Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a lovely warm weekend!!
a very fine collection of your skies.
Beautiful shots. That is lot of snow.
Beautiful skies. I see you still have a lot of snow but that is quite normal I think for places that get a white winter.
Wonderful sky series, Carver.
You got a good variety over the week.
Hi Carver, nice sky series..Love the blue skies and the colorful sunset.. Wishing you a happy weekend!
Wonderful photos! I can't get over how dramatically your weather was different each day. We had a 40 degree difference today, but it's still very warm compared to your area.
Take 25 to Hollister
