This memorial garden honors Grace Richardson who died in an automobile accident. The person who hit her was driving under the influence of alcohol.
All the benches in the garden and park are different from each other.
The bench below had the plaque above.
I like the detail on the arch below.
The plaque below was sad to me as the memorial was for someone who died was in his twenties.
Below is the whimsical seat the plaque above was for.
In the summer the wooden arch on the right part of the shot below is covered in vines.
After visiting the garden I walked around to stretch my legs.
I tried to choose shots that weren't too similar to the ones I've already used for other posts. However, there are some similarities but hopefully different views.
The reason there is such a long flight of stairs in the next shot is there is parking in the lower part and a courtyard and landscaping above the parking.
I think it's a good design idea when there is enough space.
The next two shots are of Durham Auditorium.
I like the details above and around the windows.
Since I was standing on the raised courtyard I had a view of a lot of different parts of downtown Durham, NC.
I like modern architecture that provides reflections like the one below.
The next church is one I frequently photograph when I get stopped at stoplights but this view is from a different place and perspective.
