I don't think I would have noticed the birds had you not pointed out that they were there. Beautiful shot. Love the lighting.

I am so jealous of bird photographers. I gave up. Love your tree, birds and sky.

Thanks to everyone for visiting. To answer about whether I know what kind of birds they were in my shot: I think they were a mix of cardinals, robins, and brown thrashers. They were so high and my zoom isn't powerful enough for me to be sure but I think these were good sized birds. The nuthatches and chickadees need to be closer for me to get shots, although they were also zipping around when I was shooting.

Four?

And a lot of stuff (fruit? nuts?) trying to look like birds!

Cool shot... looks vaguely familiar somehow.

That is so cute. How many birds.

Jeanne said...

Wow great! I pick up three, maybe two more. How many really?

Carver said...

Thanks again to everyone for visiting. I think it's 4 birds with maybe a 5th. They flew in and out so fast that I couldn't keep track of how many I was photographing. I'm sure about 4 though.

Carver: I can certainly see several birds hiding in the trees. That is a neat sky shot.

Indrani said...

I could spot three, how well they are camouflaged there.

Like you present it as a game.
What a wonderful example of mimicry in some way.
Without birds song I would have missed them.

Great shot, Carver! The birds are very well camouflaged, but not unfindable. Reminds me of 'where's Waldo?'

Nice Sky Watch!

I think I see a couple of them. Some that I thought were turned out to be, on closer inspection, leaves. I think I need a new lens prescription!
